so it has been a while since i last shared my thank yous on here.

I just recently returned to the habit of giving thanks at the end of my day.
It is good.

The thanksgiving brings refreshment to the soul, it humbles and hastens me to enter His courts and find Joy.

Easter, not egg hunts and chocolate or bunnies and peeps.

Easter--the remembrance.
Proclaiming the Lord's death.
Death on a cross.
Body broken.
For us.
Blood shed.
for us.

Three days in a tomb.
RESURRECTION

So that we might have life, and have it to the full.
The old gone, the new has come.

I am convinced, more and more, that Christ is the bread of Life.
This Easter, I am aware of my hunger.

I am recognizing my tendencies to eat and try to fill on that which is not Bread.
Empty.
reminding me of an empty tomb.

He is life.He said this to Martha on that day, when it appeared to be too late. When her brother was dead four days, stinking in the tomb. Jesus wept. (John 11:17-43). He is the resurrection and the life. Lazarus' resurrection, a foreshadowing of our Lord raised in power. An empty tomb.
We can believe.

"I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead." Philippians 3:10-11
